Presence & Regulation work
Individual Sessions • Workshops • Retreats
I work with nervous system regulation and presence through a simple, experiential approach.
The focus is on reducing internal effort rather than fixing or improving the self. No belief system is required.
What This Work Is (SII)
SURVIVAL IDENTITY INTEGRATION (SII)A practical, body-based approach to stable presence.Survival Identity Integration (SII) works with how stress, effort, and relational patterns are organized in the nervous system, and how they naturally unwind when they are clearly seen.Rather than relying on insight, emotional processing, or belief change, SII works at the physiological level of attention and regulation. Presence is approached as an ordinary baseline state, not a peak or spiritual experience. When survival patterns are recognized directly in the body, they no longer need to be managed. They resolve through clarity and rest.THE CORE IDEAMost ongoing stress is not caused by faulty thinking or unresolved emotion, but by autonomic survival strategies that remain active long after they are needed. These strategies organize:• attention
• posture and breath
• relational behavior
• internal pressure and effortIn SII, these are called survival identities, not as personality traits, but as nervous system patterns.THE THREE SURVIVAL IDENTITIESPerformer
Worth through doing, achieving, or provingCommon signs: pressure, self-monitoring, urgency, fear of doing it wrongHarmonizerSafety through managing others’ emotionsCommon signs: over-responsibility, guilt, difficulty restingProtectorSafety through vigilance and anticipationCommon signs: scanning, bracing, anxiety, difficulty settlingEveryone carries some version of all three. The goal is not to eliminate them, but to see them clearly enough that they stop running automatically.WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENTSII does not rely on:• emotional catharsis• insight or analysis• belief change• spiritual frameworks• effortful regulation techniquesInstead, it emphasizes:• direct bodily noticing• slowing down• simple, temporary mantras as interrupts• non-interference• letting the nervous system reorganize on its ownAs clarity increases, techniques naturally fall away.WHAT PEOPLE OFTEN NOTICE OVER TIMEWhile experiences vary, people commonly report:• feeling less “on” or self-monitoring• reduced reactivity in relationships• greater ease and groundedness• emotions arising and passing more cleanly• less need to manage their internal stateThese changes tend to feel ordinary rather than dramatic, which is often surprising at first.HOW I WORKMy work is experiential, slow, and grounded. I don’t guide people toward specific outcomes or states.Sessions and workshops focus on:• establishing a baseline of presence• identifying survival identities as they arise• allowing the nervous system to settle without interference• integrating changes into everyday lifeThere is no expectation to feel better, perform insight, or “do it right.”HOW THIS WORK EMERGEDSII was developed through direct personal experience. After years of working with multiple therapeutic and contemplative approaches, I found that while many methods created insight or temporary relief, they did not consistently resolve the underlying nervous system patterns that kept re-creating stress and effort.Out of necessity, I began paying close attention to how survival responses actually operated in my body - moment to moment - and what happened when those patterns were recognized without trying to fix them.Over time, this led to a stable, effort-free baseline of presence and a clear, repeatable way of working with others that did not rely on prolonged processing or ongoing techniques.SII continues to be refined through real client work.WHO THIS WORK IS FORThis work may be a good fit if you:• feel chronically self-monitoring or vigilant• notice recurring relational patterns you can’t think your way out of• are tired of managing your internal state• want something practical and embodied• are curious about presence without spiritual framingIt may not be a fit if you are looking for:• cathartic emotional release• a spiritual or peak-state experience• techniques to manage symptoms• quick fixes or prescribed outcomesFORMATS OFFERED• Individual sessions • deep, personalized SII exploration.• Workshops • experiential group recognition of identities.• Retreats • extended practice with integration support.A NOTE ON ORDINARY PRESENCEPresence in this work is not special, elevated, or fragile. It is the nervous system functioning without unnecessary effort.Once recognized, it does not need to be maintained.
What To Expect In a First Session
Sessions are slow, simple, and experiential. There is no preparation required and no goal to achieve. We focus on:present-moment bodily awareness
noticing effort, vigilance, or self-monitoring as they arise
allowing the nervous system to settle without interferenceNothing needs to happen for the session to be useful.
About

Pej is a facilitator and certified coach working with nervous system presence and relational patterns through a practical, body-based approach.
His work focuses on helping people recognize and unwind survival-driven patterns of effort, vigilance, and self-monitoring - not through insight or emotional processing, but through direct, embodied awareness.Pej’s approach is grounded, experiential, and non-performative. He does not guide toward specific outcomes or states, and does not rely on spiritual or therapeutic framing. His work emphasizes simplicity, clarity, and allowing the nervous system to settle without interference. He works with individuals, small groups, and retreats.

Musical Offering
As a life-long musician, creativity is one my top values. My latest single Parizad Dar Sahar can be streamed below. It's an instrumental re-imagining of a 19th century classical Persian tune in modern format.
